I use 100 Watt Super Lead 
to open in the video, but you can really use anything you like.
I then hold the lit lighter, with the cap open towards me, and my fingers slightly cupped holding the bottom.
Toss upwards and have it complete ONE rotation and catch it.
Do it again. Repeat as necessary. 

I close with a fold; do whatever you think works for you.  After you get one controlled spin down, go for two.  
Then try a forward spin instead of a reverse. Then try spinning it once sideways, left and right.  
Now do it with two hands. Now do it with left and right, and arc the lighters so you catch with the opposite hands.  
That’s your assignment; have at it.
