This is another Twilight trick, but in my opinion better, because you don't touch the wick.
Hold the lighter in main position like everybody else does. Fingers around the case and thumb 
against the side of the lid.
Push the lid open and strike the wheel.
Now grab the lid between your thumb and index and close and open it real fast. 
This will cause lack of oxygen and will make the flame small.
Then move up or sideways and the flame appears again.
Close anyway you like. Good luck, this one needs practicing.
